They Say

Angie Street’s approach freed our minds to develop more creative characters and plots and helped us realise that certain ingredients are vital in the creation of a play that can really engage your audience. Angie also arranged for us to experience the power of a script development day with real actors working with our script…that included a really famous actor recently seen in the Paddington Bear film. The upshot of all this is that following a further development day down in Wales, where the action of the play takes place, our play ‘Freedom of Movement’ will receive a full theatrical production at the Red House Arts Centre later this year (2018)  Michael Doherty Jan 2018

Gosh.’  Brian, Wilton

I’ve been going to Angela’s workshops for nearly three years.  During that time I’ve had professional productions of my work in London at Theatre 503, Arcola and the LOST One-act play competition.  I’ve got pieces showing in Ignite (Exeter) and the Edinburgh Fringe this Summer.  Angela taught me how to write for stage.  She knows her stuff.  John Yates, Marlborough

Angie is like a breath of fresh air. Open the windows and let her in.               David Haworth, Writer and Director, Forest Forge Theatre

She’s great at stimulating comic (and bizarre!) writing… and fostering creative relationships.  Gail Smalley, Writer, Salisbury

Being a writing course addict, Angela’s course is the best a man can get.  Not only does she give you excellent theoretical knowledge, but also equips you with fabulous solutions to your writing problems.                                                   Andrew Thackeray, BA(Hons) MA Directing, Warminster

PETER:  (Muttering to himself) This is not a walk in the park, she’s defiantly stretched my little grey cells.  Peter Walker, Writer, Salisbury

I’ve been attending Angie’s Scriptwriter’s Doo-Dah for 2 years, during which time I’ve had the opportunity to study writing for both Stage and Radio. Not only has every session been  packed with really useful exercises and scripts to study, but we’ve had the opportunity each term to have our own work performed and directed. I can’t imagine a more enjoyable (or affordable) writing class.           Linda Morse, Writer and Music Teacher

My favourite:  Angie is a genius  Wenda, Dorset

Worth getting up early for on a Saturday morning.  Elanora Ferry,  Bristol.

Angie is a top class tutor… it kept me focused and stimulated.                              Rebecca Hayward, drama teacher, Romsey

Angie is considerate to the different needs of the participants…I have gained confidence as the course progressed.  Grace Gauld, Poet, Salisbury

Angela has the ability to inspire and work the muscle in the writer’s mind.  John Yates, Teacher, Marlborough

You are a fantastic teacher and mentor.  Jan Knight, East Knoyle

Angela’s approach is friendly and informal, yet you get down to business.  I wanted to be pushed and to get as many ideas as possible that I could actually use, practically in my writing, and I got plenty.  I know it’s made a difference as I re-read my scripts with a much more informed and critical eye now and can see areas for improvement that I wouldn’t have seen before.                        Bethany Jameson, Writer and Performer, Bournemouth

The courses you run have helped me so much. Around the time I started, things were falling apart for me and it is in no small part the writing that helped me keep going and I am not sure what would have happened if I hadn’t discovered your course.   Anon

I was amazed at how much feedback I got from Angela considering the length of the course and the very small fee we had paid.

I don’t think she has any idea of the deep effect she has had on us novice writers.  The clever thing is she does it an apparently relaxed rambling way.  No stress!  Apparently!  Jan Knight

On The Rocket Project – It’s brilliant for the region and for Salisbury!  David Lane, Writer and Dramaturg, Goldsmiths College/BOV
To hear your work read out by actors is invaluable, as it helps you to assess your work.  Anon
Angie is great!  Tony Boncza, Actor and Writer, Wimborne
